Hair transplant
Follicular unit hair restoration involves transferring hair follicles from the more permanent areas at the back and sides of the scalp to areas that are bald or thinning. This generally involves the frontal hairline, midscalp, temples and crown. Hair transplantation can be done as part of the gender affirming process for transitioning individuals from male to female who are experiencing hair loss or hair thinning. Hairs transplanted are generally permanent and provide a long term solution to pattern baldness.
During the procedure we can use one of two hair transplant techniques: follicular unit strip surgery (FUT) and follicular unit extraction surgery (FUE).

Hairline Lowering can be combined with any Facial Feminization Surgery. To perform this procedure our patients will be put under general anaesthesia while an irregular incision is made between the existing anterior hairline and the forehead. The hair-bearing scalp is then lifted and moved forward as desired by the patient. Hairline Lowering Surgery alone can help feminize the face as it reshapes and reduces the height of the forehead. Transgender women often feel more feminine and attractive after they have reduced the size of their forehead.
