Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgeon
Dr. Mark Korman is licensed to practice medicine in the province of Ontario and is board-certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He received his MD, surgical and specialist training at the University of Toronto, where he currently holds an appointment as Adjunct Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is a member of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Korman is Active Staff and Division Head of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at William Osler Health System and a Consultant Assessor at the West Park Healthcare Centre. Dr. Korman has practiced in Northern Ontario as part of the Ministry of Health Visiting Specialist Program to underserviced areas and have been a faculty member at Lakehead and Laurentian Universities in the Division of Clinical Sciences at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. He supervises and teaches Family Practice and Otolaryngology residents from the University of Toronto and McMaster University on a regular basis.
Dr. Mark Korman has extensive experience in conducting independent medical examinations and in preparing insurance and medical-legal reports and have been appointed by the Registrar of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) as a Medical Inspector under section 75(1)(a) of the Health Professionals Procedural Code. He is a Peer Reviewer and the Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery Lead Assessor for the CPSO Practice Assessment & Enhancement Department, Quality Management Division. Dr. Korman is also an inspector of surgical facilities under the CPSO Out-of-Hospital Premises Inspection Program.
